John G. Plummer & Associates would like to make our patients aware of changes to the Department of Health guidance on decontamination and sterilisation procedures, given to dental practices nationwide. The update to the guidelines aims to bring dental practices across the country into line with the regulations that govern sterilisation and decontamination protocols within hospitals.
Significant investment by the practice makes available a purpose built and demarcated decontamination room at all our practices. An increase in the number of instruments held on site, is but one of the many new changes to ensures that our service is able to operate with new protocols. All staff has been fully trained and continuously attends courses to keep up-to-date with the new guidelines and new developments within the profession.
The Care Quality Commission, CQC, is responsible for monitoring standards within dental practices. We are proud to announce that all our practices that have been inspected has met the full requirements and has been approved by the CQC.
We conduct daily, weekly, monthly and annual clinical audits of our protocols and procedures. We remain absolutely committed to providing the highest possible level of care for our patients and we will continue to keep you updated as and when any developments occur.
