Your health is our outmost priority. We would like to assure you that our team is trained and have taken the necessary measures to protect you and our staff, so that you can feel as safe as possible when visiting our practice.

New appointment protocol

Before your appointment

• We will call you to arrange an appointment.
• If you are displaying any signs of COVID-19 (a fever, a dry cough, fatigue), feeling unwell or self-isolating, please reschedule your appointment.
• Always remember to shower and wash your hands thoroughly before leaving home and visiting the practice.

Arriving for your appointment 

Please be punctual and arrive at your scheduled appointment time to avoid additional patients in the waiting room. Please also: • Please call the practice on arrival and wait in your vehicle or outside until the nurse sees you inside. • Arrive alone, if possible. • If you are attending with your child, only 1 parent or guardian to enter the practice. • Avoid bringing bags with you. • Bring your own facial covering/ mask – as from 24 July 2020 it is a government requirement. • Upon entering, disinfect hands and then fold your hands together so you avoid touching anything or leaning on reception desk. • We will check your temperature. • Keep a distance of at least 2 metres from other staff and patients, including the reception counter. • Do not use a mobile phone. • Avoid using the bathroom. • Follow any additional safety instructions displayed in the practice.

After your appointment

• Please pay via contactless, if possible.
• Disinfect your hands and leave straightaway. 
• Please ensure we have your updated mobile number and email address for any future communication. This is the quickest and most environmentally friendly way for us to communicate with you.
• If you feel unwell within 14 days after your appointment, especially if you have developed.
a cough or fever, please call the practice.

Due to these guidelines, we will be seeing fewer patients per day so please be patient with us.
We have a back-log of patients to see and will prioritise those most in need.

We are excited to have the opportunity to welcome you back! Our practice has always maintained the highest cross infection control protocols, however, in light of the Covid-19 pandemic we have instituted additional guidelines, training, and protocols to ensure your safety. In view of the potential seriousness of this disease, please note that we respectfully ask that you bear with us as we prepare our surgeries to welcome you back in a phased return to routine care.

The return of routine care may not begin for a number of weeks or even months due to the complexities that occur during dental treatment and the limited availability of appropriate PPE. Please be patient. This also means a reduction in the number of patients we can see each day due to enhanced measures we must take to maintain safety. We will endeavor to meet the clinical needs of our patients as quickly as possible, with the most clinically urgent problems given priority in the early stages of the resumption of our service.

We kindly ask that you do not attend the practice unless you have an arranged appointment, but telephone or email us with any queries. Please be aware we are receiving a high volume of calls and ask you to use our email service. We thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you soon in an environment that is safe for everyone in these difficult times.
